KP Green Engineering’s GI strips are made from a high-grade mild steel (MS) flat and coated with a uniform hot-dip galvanizing. This coating will protect the GI strips from corrosion, rust and oxidation long term, especially in hostile environments such as those with high humidity, saline soil, or artificial pollutants. These specified galvanized iron earthing strips, are commonly installed parts that will definitely enable fault currents that are accurately discharged into the earth and thereby avoid damaging equipment, structures or injuring people in the event of electrical failure.
Although there are some applications for insulated cables, the lower cost, extremely high conductivity, and ease of installation on manufactured components and in large-scale industrial earthing applications make GI strips useful. While insulated cables are often used in some applications, GI strips are preferred due to their low cost and high conductivity, plus it is easy to install, especially on large-scale industrial earthing applications.
