Although there are some applications for insulated cables, the lower cost, extremely high conductivity, and ease of installation on manufactured components and in large-scale industrial earthing applications make GI strips useful. While insulated cables are often used in some applications, GI strips are preferred due to their low cost and high conductivity, plus it is easy to install, especially on large-scale industrial earthing applications.
