Mr. Shri. Satya Gopal


Shri Satya Gopal, a retired officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) from the 1988 batch of the AGMUT cadre, has had an extensive career in public administration spanning over three and a half decades. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Hons.) from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, a Master’s degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, and an MBA in Financial Management from Lalit Narayan Mishra Institute of Economic Development and Social Change, Patna.

Throughout his illustrious career, Shri Gopal has held several key positions in the Government of India, the Government of NCT of Delhi, the Union Territory Administration of Chandigarh, the Government of Goa, and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. He has served as Chief Secretary, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, and Additional Chief Secretary in the Government of NCT of Delhi, where he oversaw crucial departments such as Home, Power, Environment & Forests, and Land & Building. He has also served as Administrator, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Chairman, Chandigarh Housing Board, and Chairman, Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), Punjab, ensuring policy transparency, governance efficiency, and regulatory oversight. He was also instrumental as the State Nodal Officer for COVID 19 management in Delhi, leading critical pandemic response initiatives.

Shri Gopal has played a pivotal role in governance, public policy, infrastructure development, financial management, and environmental sustainability. He has led transformative initiatives, including Delhi’s air quality improvement measures, large scale power sector reforms, and innovative urban development projects. His expertise in administration, strategic planning, and policy execution has contributed significantly to public service and governance.
